Honest was first set up as a whole food cafe in Brixton in 2006, serving up the absolute best in gold awarded deli products and a menu that accommodated every palate. From meat eaters to vegans and those with special dietary requirements, at Honest Foods, we made a point of catering for everyone with the same passion and care.
In 2012, we moved onto Film & TV catering, bringing our passion and knowledge of delicious and healthy food into the film world. Setting up camp on months long shoots cooking out of our 18 ton truck or sending out hot boxed food from our base kitchen, feeding crews in some of the craziest set ups, without ever compromising on quality.
Fast forward to today, having only grown stronger from the pandemic and eager to expand, we have taken Honest to the next level, broadening up our offering and our client base.
Now doing corporate catering, events, street food and even consultancy, Honest founder and MD, Leon Rothera and the Team are never short of new ideas. Taking good old little Brixton cafe to the multi-faceted high end caterer it is today, whilst keeping our ethos going strong throughout every venture.

Rebekah joined us a while ago as Sous Chef and quickly climbed her way to the top, now holding the reins as Head Chef and taking the Honest kitchen to new levels.
Rebekah is our food extraordinaire and makes all the magic happen. With extensive experience at Ottolenghi, paired up with her African-Caribbean heritage, Rebekah has transformed our menu into a feast for the senses, ensuring every dish that comes out of our kitchen is an experience to remember.
As the Community & Engagement Manager, Sarah looks at ways to improve our social impact within the local community via projects and partnerships. She’s also in charge of team engagement, always looking at ways to improve people’s experience in the workplace or organising the next team outing. Sarah also runs part of the building operations and manages the team.
Fun fact - Sarah is Leon’s wife and has joined Honest in 2023 where she's brought in her passion of working with people and for the community into the company, turning Honest into a family ran business, with a social purpose.
Sophia is our superstar Booking Manager and is in charge of all our booking enquiries. Every time you get in touch with Honest, you're likely to be greeted by her and her contagious positivity.
With her YES attitude, Sophia will always go above and beyond to make sure our clients' experience are in line with our ethos, ensuring a smooth and pleasant journey, from the first email to the last bite of our food.
Colourful, vibrant, high in protein and fibre and packed full of vegetables! All our food is cooked in house and made from scratch, from the meat which we cure and marinate ourselves to the sauces and ferments we use. All made using only the best and freshest seasonal ingredients.
We design our menus with care, putting together recipes that will keep you feeling happy and full, without feeling that mid-day slump.
The clue is in our name, Honest. One of the first things our founder Leon was told whilst training as a young chef was if you must be one thing in cooking, it's honest. And it stuck.
At Honest, we pride ourselves in only working with the best suppliers. Gearing towards getting our B Corp Certification, we are a proud Albert Supplier and we only use packaging that is compostable and recyclable. We also deliver all our meals in electric vans.
